Former CEO and General Manager of Boeing Autometric Joins IDELIX® Advisory BoardChristopher P. Haakon provides expertise in establishing IDELIX as a visualization leader
March 22, 2005 - VANCOUVER, BC - IDELIX Software Inc. announced today that Christopher P. Haakon, a member of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Transformation Advisory Group and former CEO and General Manager of Boeing Autometric (previously Autometric), has joined the visualization software company's Board of Advisors. Mr. Haakon will advise IDELIX as the company further establishes itself as a visualization leader in the defense and intelligence community.
Mr. Haakon brings to IDELIX over forty years of experience in corporate management and building strategic business partnerships within the US Defense and Intelligence community. Prior to his current consulting role, he most recently held the position of Geospatial Initiative Program Director for General Dynamics. He joined General Dynamics following an impressive 40-year career with Boeing-Autometric (previously Autometric Inc.). Mr. Haakon's extensive operational and technical background includes imagery analysis and training, requirements analysis, and research in multi-sensor imagery. He is also a retired Navy Reserve Captain who held four command tours, culminating in his service as Reserve Intelligence Area Commander in Washington, DC.

The company has also participated in geospatial-intelligence programs for various agencies including Natural Resources Canada (Geoconnections), Defence Research & Development Canada (Defence Industry Research Program), and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's InnoVision and Enterprise Directorates.

Along with serving on the IDELIX Board of Advisors and the NGA Transformation Advisory Group, Mr. Haakon is the Chairman of the Board for the Joint Military Intelligence College Foundation and a member of the National Correlation Working Group Board of Directors.
Mr. Haakon joins other notable members such as Rear Admiral (retired) Bill Owens (Nortel), Derek Burney (former President CAE), and James Frey (former President - Northrop Grumman TASC) on the IDELIX Board of Advisors.
