GIS 2001 Conference, Vancouver, British Columbia - February 22, 2001 - IDELIX Software™ (formerly Advanced Numerical Methods Ltd.) today introduced PliableGIS™, a unique software solution to the "screen real estate" problem that will result in increased productivity and more efficient workflow for GIS users.

The GIS/Remote Sensing software solutions market is growing at a rate of 15%-35% per annum, from $845 million to $2 billion by 2003. Spending in the GIS market for hardware, software, and services is predicted to grow to $4.4 billion by 2002.

PliableGIS is an innovative product solution that improves the presentation of GIS and Remote Sensing information. Built on IDELIX Software's Pliable Display Technology™ (PDT) platform, PliableGIS enables users to navigate and magnify detail within images and maps without encountering the usual loss of surrounding context and navigational cues associated with existing zooming, panning and inset viewing technologies. The product also incorporates unique image- and map- folding capabilities for magnified comparison of two separate areas within a GIS data set.
