...Joe is a defence intelligence analyst and spends much of his time exploring remotely-sensed imagery on a limited-size monitor. Working with large datasets poses the challenge of viewing one area while trying to figure out how it relates to the bigger picture. Using conventional viewing tools, Joe zooms in and out in an attempt to keep matters in context but is frustrated by the inefficiencies and distractions this creates within his workflow process.
