Keith Ippel
President & Chief Operating Officer

Keith Ippel is the President and Chief Operating Officer of IDELIX Software Inc. Mr. Ippel is a team leader who thrives on the innovative and global nature of the software industry. In his previous position as Director of Operations and Customer Care at Infowave Software, he led the wireless deployment of a company-wide CRM system. He also led the Customer Care team through the first sales of services to partners, partner sub-contracting agreements, and the implementation of an up-sell strategy to existing customers. Mr. Ippel entered the area of operations in the software industry with a background in Project Management. As Project Manager for R.C. Purdy Chocolates Ltd., he led the on time and budget implementation of Purdy’s first ERP and MRP. As Project Manager with KPMG LLP PeopleSoft Practice, he co-led the Canadian implementation of a $5 Million USD North American-wide PeopleSoft initiative. Mr. Ippel earned his MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario. He was the MBA Association President leading the association council plus 70 volunteers. A team leader at work and in play, Mr. Ippel participates in volleyball, softball, and loves living in Vancouver for the abundance of outdoor recreation.

Dr. David Baar
Founder & Chief Technical Officer

Dr. David Baar, Ph.D. (Physics), M.Sc. (Eng.), is the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and founder of IDELIX Software Inc. His research interests in software for numerical modeling and image processing led to the formation of IDELIX. Visionary and pragmatic, Dr. Baar has built a team of leading experts in information visualization to develop the company's technology. Dr. Baar completed his graduate research at Queen's University in 1990 with a doctoral thesis in the quantum magnetic properties of superconductors. His post-doctoral work included research at ISTEC in Tokyo, at the University of British Columbia, and at Stanford University. One of the core components of this research was the numerical modeling of complex experiments and materials. He has also worked on image processing software for analyzing data from the Landsat satellites, and numerous other software and research projects. In parallel with his interests in a wide variety of technologies and research areas, Dr. Baar is involved in numerous recreational pursuits such as windsurfing, rock climbing, cross-country skiing, hiking, and photography.

Marie Whelan
Vice President, Finance & Administration

Marie Whelan, CMA, is the Vice President of Finance & Administration, and Corporate Secretary, for IDELIX Software Inc. Ms. Whelan has more than 15 years experience with public and private companies in the technology, biomedical, resource, and banking industries. In addition to her expertise in financial management, Ms. Whelan has a broad range of experience with issues in the area of financing, regulatory compliance, tax, corporate governance, and human resources. Her wisdom is a guiding force at IDELIX and is something she shares as a volunteer within the community.

Chloe Morrow
Vice President, Operations

Chloe Morrow brings over 10 years experience in software development to her role as VP Operations at IDELIX. Most recently Chloe worked at WebCT, holding a variety of leadership roles in Development and Product Management. Chloe's work in leading the product roadmap at WebCT was critical in helping the company to strengthen its position as market leader in the e-learning space.

Prior to WebCT, Chloe worked at Seanix Technology where she managed the internal software development and IT groups. She led the team to build an innovative B2B application that allows customers to order and track purchases throughout the manufacturing process over the web.

Chloe holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia. She is active in a variety of local technology groups.

Darren Dickey
Director of Sales

Prior to joining IDELIX Software to lead the lat49 sales team, Darren spent six years as the Director of Business Development (North America) for Hcareers, the leading job board for the hospitality and restaurant industries. Within 4 years of joining HCareers, Darren grew his division from 1 to 16 sales professionals and grew revenues from under $200,000 to in excess of $5 million. His team became one of the biggest producing units in the company. In addition to consistently exceeding revenue targets, Darren was very active in building strong relationships with key stakeholder groups. He was nominated to the "Allied Executive Committee" representing suppliers within the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AH&LA) and lobbied extensively within the U.S. Congress to raise awareness and action on issues impacting the hotel industry. Darren also developed a unique, highly profitable job board product that has set industry standards and is still in use by key customers such as The Waldorf-Astoria and Ritz Carlton.

Prior to joining Hcareers, Darren worked for the Canada.com network, the leading national newspaper chain in Canada. In addition, he spent several years with Verizon's Super Pages. Darren is an active volunteer with community soccer, minor league baseball, and the Canadian Liver Foundation.

Tiffany Chester
Director of Marketing & Business Development

Tiffany Chester brings 11 years of sales and marketing experience to her role as Director of Marketing at IDELIX Software Inc. Prior to joining IDELIX, Tiffany worked for HollyWords Publicity Inc. and provided marketing public relations services to film and television clients in Vancouver and Los Angeles. Her creativity and writing skills helped build the success of the company and earned her recognition as one of the top 50 "movers and shakers" of the BC film industry. Tiffany began her career marketing the services of healthcare recruitment companies to potential clients in countries around the world. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and earned her Masters of Business Administration from Royal Roads University. Outside of the office, Tiffany participates in a variety of sports and coaches youth soccer at an elite player development academy.
