History

IDELIX Software Inc. was founded in 2000 by Physicist Dr. David Baar as a result of his interest in software for the visualization and presentation of numerical modeling and image processing data. In March 2002, the leadership team began to implement an aggressive strategy that would transition the company focus from research and development to product commercialization. IDELIX has won some key contracts within the defense and intelligence market while continuing to drive research and development efforts to build competitive advantage. As of the fall of 2007, IDELIX had built a strong intellectual property portfolio of 17 patents issued or allowed.

Corporate Culture

IDELIX is located in Yaletown, the hub of Vancouver's high tech community, and currently has a total of 18 employees. From the office boardroom to the in-house climbing wall, the corporate culture at IDELIX encourages creativity, active participation, and a strong sense of teamwork.

Core Technologies

Pliable Display Technology (PDT) by IDELIX is a magnification and data interaction technology that enhances the user interface and visualization capabilities of host software applications. PDT "lenses" permit users to interact directly and efficiently with data appearing within the PDT lens, without hiding information and without breaking continuity. PDT lenses can be used to facilitate the presentation of both static and dynamic content, and to highlight areas of interest or commercial value. Using PDT's unique Undisplace capability, applications' native tools can be programmed to work through the PDT lens interface improving workflow and usability of tools. PDT is made available in the form of a Software Development Kit (SDK) available in C++ and Java. These SDKs were designed to enable developers to integrate detail-in-context viewing and editing techniques within their applications to address the growing concerns of information overload in 2D and 3D applications.

Lat49 by IDELIX is an online ad serving technology and network that is optimized for online, interactive maps. Lat49 is a unique ad platform technology that targets an underserved portion of the rapidly growing online and mobile markets. The patents-pending technology and the lat49 network of advertisers and publishers have IDELIX ideally positioned to be a leader in the location targeted advertising market.
